Lex's Galant VR-4

As many of you know, I've been dying to get back into the scene. I didn't want to do another DSM per say, and I defiantly wanted a sleeper of sorts (due to my history of having cars stolen, or robbed/vandalized). The search was on for a clean STOCK GVR4. I may have found the last one on earth. I picked up a 1992 GVR4 today. I'll be doing a full build thread in the moderator section, but for now I thought I'd share her with my online family........

Shit, you're hardcore :p

So I take it you have a new TC lined up since you were removing the old one?

Congratulations, and post pics!
Congratulations.
I was also looking for one of these rare beauties, but never came accross one on this contidion.

Sadly, I do not. I"m having a hard time finding someone local that doesn't want to overcharge me. I did find one guy who was willing to give me one at at a great price, but our schedules haven't crossed yet.

I removed the old one to see what sort of condition it was in, but right now, I can barely type, let alone wrench.
Shit dude, I'm sorry.
If I was local I'd give you a t-case. I've got 3 in my attic that I haven't touched in at least 2 years lol
Oh and the car looks sweet. You can never get away from these damn cars. I find myself wanting one all the time  I'd like to buy my old one back at some point.

Exactly. It's a vicious cycle with me. No matter how hard I try, I always seem to find myself on Craigslist at 2am, searching for DSM's.

Or you can buy the one that has your old exhaust on it. :p

Good find Lex. Its definitely a clean find!
Where art thou updates???
Sorry Chris, I guess I am due for an update. I haven't been able to do much other than collect parts for the car, since my finger is still healing. I was going to finish the new transfer case seals and throw it under the car today, but we've been getting so much rain down here that I really haven't the urge to climb under the car (or do anything to the car for that matter). I wanted to get it running and registered so I could drive it up to the Hooters's meet next weekend but it's not looking to good. other than that I really haven't done much with her. The problem is that the car is stored. 45 minutes from my house, so I try to get as much as possible ready so that the trip is worth it for me. If it dries up some, I'll go over there and throw the transfer case in, and maybe sample some pics of the car.

(small) UPDATE:
I've been so busy with school/work/wedding, that I've only had enough time to drive this car around (which I do very little because of the gas smell, but that's for another post). I decided I needed some stress relief to day, so I woke up really early to install my new Momo Wheel and NRG detachable hub. I couldn't be happier with this stuff. I went with the short hub adapter and the wheel distance is almost stock!

That's nice. The GVR4 would be awesome to have. It is so rare! I would hold on to that one for a long time!
