Muffler

I recently pruchased my Eclipse with a 2.5 DP and 3" back, no cat/flow thru Magnaflow. It is too damn loud. I recently went to a local shop and they claim a hi-flow cat will quiet it down a bit. What I would really like is a baffled style muffler 3"in/3"out and make it atleast 1/2 as quiet (I really wouldn't care if it sounded near stock). Does anyone think this will do the job? ...And even help on my boost creep?

the muffler you describe should quiet it down, but as far as the boost creep goes im gonna say it probably won't be a very significant change.
