I need to get new tires before this winter, mine're getting close to bald. The car currently has 16" Goodyear Eagle RS-A's... I priced them on tirerack, they're like $107 a piece... is there a difference between these and other tires? Goodyear has something called F-1 GS, which is only like $20 more. What's the diff?

Look at the other tires that are comparable in price. Nitto, yoko, and kumho all have tires that are priced close to 110 each for the size you are looking at. The stock tires are pretty crappy so I would look at going with something different.

I highly recommend the Pirelli P-7000 Supersports. I've also read that the BFGoodrich CompT/A VR4's are good. Are you AWD? *IMO* you can use less of a winter "type" tire on the awd's as compared to the fwd's. Check out the customer reviews at the tire rack for any tire you're interested in.
