I have had this heap since November of 1995, it was my second car. It has out lasted many girlfriends, got me through high school and college and traveled the east coast. Here is is 2 weeks after I got it, fresh with tint and "TALON" script in the windshield.

I have been toying with it for years, mostly with the suspension and cosmetic details.

Corbeau Harness Slots in Driver Seat
Corbeau 3 point double release harness

On the way to the Shootout 2004, it had a "catastrophic" engine failure at 126,000 miles. Back to the drawing board!
So at that point I decided to get real with modding it and start throwing money away, I mean at it.:wall:

Now that the car is eleventy billion pieces it is in what I like to call a reloading mode.
With the help of Jackson Auto Machine, JNZ Tuning, JM Fabrications and Philadelphia DSM this Eagle will fly again. It will be a weekend toy and most likely enter road races for shits and giggles. It may not be the obvious route, but it will be an interesting one.

Custom built JNZ Tuning tranmission
90 6 bolt
Venolia Pistons: 13.5:1 Compression
Eagle Rods
Stroker Conversion
Revised Fuel System
Maybe a 75 shot
No A/C or Power Steering
Wider Wheels and Tires
TCE Front Brakes
etc...........stay tuned

Longest build evar
OMG....lol....Thats was the longest 7 pages ever ......And I've seen your interior, tore to hell... I saw an engine, with no t-belt..... lol...

I couldnt let my cars sit that long, bleeding.....LOL>>> C-mon dude, button her up...

Good stuff!!! Just finish it.... Dont let her die....:(
Truly the longest build ever. So what ecu management going with this thing? And what NA 4G63 maps are you going to use: JDM, EDM, USDM, or custom?
Yup, longest build ever cause I stopped carrying for awhile, honestly. Just had more important things going on in life to really focus and dedicate time to it. A long time ago I wondered how some guys could get half way into a project and just say hell with it and let it sit. Now I know why, I just got in a rut and the car was the least of my worries.

Got a bit re-energized not to long ago luckily. It will be running this summer, good or bad. I just need to sort a few small things out. It is 90% done, seems the last 10% is the most difficult though. Removing some weight and changing some minor things here and there. Expect it to be fired in the next few weeks. But cross your fingers for me, as it may go Kaboom on the first crank.

I am getting some help from Tom at ECMLink (great guy and company to deal with) on what I am doing with the car. Sending out the ECU which already has V2 on it to get V3 on it and do a little custom programming on it, this week actually.
It's running DSMLink (as far as I know).
Just got the ECU back from ECMTuning:rockon:

Will post some pics up later in the week.
Any chance of this being 250 whp off the bottle? That would be nice.

I was shooting for 200HP, without it, but will probably throw some spray on it down the road just to see what happens.
Whats it supposed to weigh? I understand if thats a secret. If you could get it down to 1400 lbs this car will be faster than 90% of the turbo DSMs.

1400lbs is almost impossibly light in one of our cars. If he can get it down to 2200lbs while still retaining some streetability it will be impressive. 1400lbs is gutted and tubeframed CRX territory.

Yeah I know. Thats why I thought it would be awesome. Thats a BIG project right there.

Big is an understatement. I don't think you could get below 1800lbs and really have any streetability. Getting it to 1400lbs would require the replacement of almost every Mitsubishi stamped part in the entire vehicle. It'd essentially be a tube frame hung with the lightest of light materials and even then I don't think it's actually possible given the size and weight of the major components like the iron block.

I didnt know how far he was going to take it....

PC,

Did you ever consider putting a 4g61 crank in a 4g64 block? I was just wondering, quite frankly, n/a setups confuse me. I would rather raise the rpms than stroke it but I really dont know which would be more effective in this case.
Fire it up! I want hear about this thing running.

A year later....fuckin tease! :p
With this much time, it had better be doing god damned wheelies.
EPIC Loss?? What is going on with this car Paul???? :(
I know guys I suck so far behind on this thing, it is a running joke.

Sorry for the crappy video, the iPhone certainly has a limited microphone.....but here you go.
