Hmmm I don't think there is any type of calculation. It probably depends on what kinda of pipe bender you use, and what angle the pipe is bent at.

There are standard pipe bender's rules of thumb for both press bent and mandrel bent radii, resulting tube diameter, and required material for the bend. However, I don't work at a tube bending manufacturer any longer so I don't have easy access to them.
