Is power shifting bad for these cars? Ive heard a lot of different things from different people about power shifting. And how hard should I shift my 91 TSi? I feel like im going to break the shifter if I do it too hard. hehe, it is the stock shifter.
Thanks!

Power shifting obviously puts the transmission under a lot more stress than normal. However, its only when you start making the real power that you really should concern yourself. For example, Jeff Hill (Turbotrix) suggested that as long as you avoid power shifting the 1-2 shift the rest of the gears are fine. I think he managed to run 10s before he blew out his first transmission.
