Here's how you can save your Bosch 044 when the threads slip on the pressure side. This evening a friend called me because both pumps were leaking fuel. He tightened them more, then the threads gave up ... I did the same repair for another friend so I wanted to share.

Find a friend with a lathe. You'll need a 06SAE cutter or a small boring bar with skills lol.

First view of the threads, it's 0.575" deep and you need 0.550"ish so it's doable.

Drill 15/32"

SAE 06 cutter

Tap 9/16-18

Clean with an adapter I had in stock at the shop, [email protected]

Did both of his pump like that ... ;)
