setting fuel presure

i have a afpr and a gauge installed and i have it set at 38psi right now at idle, but some friends were saying that boost raises the fuel presure but they were not sure how much, what would be a good fuel presure at idle for 17psi? i would also like to know how much fuel presure does boost raise per psi

38 is fine. You have to set fuel pressure with the vacuum hose disconnected. The afpr has to be a 1:1 which means that for every lbs of boost, fuel pressure raises one pound. So if base is 38 and you boost 17 than boost pressure will rise to 55psi. Only worry about base and not the end pressure. When you start tuning you will look to see that you have enough fuel for the mods or boost you are using. Do not jjust raise boost. Get a logger and some type of fuel management before playing around with boost and fuel.
i have, a 20g,680cc,255fuel pump,safc2,datalogger, and alot of other mods, thx for the help i wasnt sure what to do, i am 95% sure that the afpr is 1:1, now all i have to do is get the afc set up right so its not so rich, also would i need to lower the fuel presure if i were to run 12psi boost? or would 38 be good?
