Shifter arm replacement

I purchased a used fwd turbo transmission that is missing one of the arms where the shifter linkage connects to. The top shifter arm is still there but the one below it is completely missing. Im wondering if I need to dissassemble the transmission in order to replace the missing arm.

It looks as if a pin is holding in the upper arm, so Im going to tap the pin out and try to pull the top arm off and then go from there. Since I wont be able to work on the trans till monday I wanted to ask for additional info here first.

Do not take that arm off. It is not needed. The other one bolts on and only raises and lowers that one. You do not need to take the tranny apart.
