Whenever my car is accelerating to around 55-65mph the rpms will start to drop from 3000rpms to 2500-2600 rpms out of no where and hover @ that, but then if i give it some more gas the rpms start goin back up again...wtf could be goin on?!?! or is it because of my new tranny it shifts so smooth not even to notice it?

I have the same problem but mine only goes down to about 2800, 2700 then back up to 300 untill i press the gas more.

hmm

Sounds like your ecu to me. Have it checked, or if you know someone with the same engine and year, switch the ecu's and see if it helps. I'm willing to bet that your ecu is dieing.
