When you say it is engaging you mean the motor is turning over but doesn't start? If that is the case it doesn't sound like a starter issue.
Occasionaly it will turn the engine over, but most the time all you hear is the starter bendix hitting the flywheel and NOT turning the engine over.greenstreak said:When you say it is engaging you mean the motor is turning over but doesn't start? Yes, Starter is new and will start my friends talon. Flywheel is new and is in know good shape. Clutch new as well as tranny.greenstreak said:Starter ring gear was in good shape when you did the swap?

Starter is new and it will start sometimes, but most the time you will here the starter engaging but will not turn the engine. Starter Checked out okay. Evrything is working...Starter is New from auto parts store and is for the 2.0 turbo...Need help Please..Would be much appreciated...
