transmission bellhousing cracked again... what to do..?

well my bell housing cracked again and it was making horrible noise when i had it running and now i got the engine and transmission out, should i buy a used tranny or just have the cracked bell housing re-welded again..?

It can be welded again, seeing how it dont hold fluids, but what is causing it to break? You need to find out what is rubbing or hitting it. Possibly the flywheel.

well, the bracket that hold the intermedia-shaft in place came loose for some reason... i dont know what happened to the two bolts that was suppose to be holding it went, must of just came loose or something, but i never messed with the bolts before hand. after i got the car home, there were a lot of noise coming from the tranny housing and when i went to look at it, i saw that it cracked again.

i took out the starter and it looks like the flywheel was rubbing it for some reason. also found a washer in the transmission case. dont know where that came from either.

all and all... the transmission was shifting pretty good before it cracked on me...
