guys , im having no luck getting off this residue. its like a haze under the paint ???? please help me out.

I have always used that Bug and Tar remover to get rid of tree sap.

They make sap remover (we have it at work to clean off chainsaws), but its pretty strong so I wouldn't leave it on the paint very long.

bug and tar remover will work but use a soft damp rag and use it ***GENTLY*** to rub the sap out. it may take a few minutes to rub out (literally). if you go nuts your clear coat will get scratched badly

Find a good restoration polish if it is off and there is still spots. (stuff meant to deal with overspray/fallout)

Bug and tar remover has always worked good for me in the past. How big of an area is messed up? Is it the whole car?

I have the same problem, I always get huge bloobs on my car. I use gue-gone.

idk if goo-gone is good for clearcoat, but like RedSand187 said, try a polish. if its dulled out, this should help (if you didnt rub through layers of paint that is)... but feel the area. is it still sticky? or "sappy" feeling? if its just dulled, try reviving it. Could be that you just wore it down....

don't do any of this except that bug and tar remover, it should get the sap off except for the blemishes in the paint, but to get rid of the blemishes you have to have it buffed off of your hood.

I use wd40, then wash the car, and then polish good where i rubbed the shit off. (I use Malco FLASH liquid paste wax with carnauba wax and dupont ZONYL)
