VERY Frustrating...Gears suck...

Im very pissed off right now. 3/5 of my gears grind now  . First is VERY hard to get into sometimes and feels rough most of the time. And then I shift it verrrry slowly it grinds like hell. 2nd Grinds downshifting above 20km/hr and upshifting like above 4500rpm. Now my 3rd is making some weird noises (loud) sometimes when I shift into it just normally.

I absolutely hate my Tranny and gearbox, Its the only thing that I do not love on the car. It just pisses me off so much people gear me grinding it and I look like an ass, but really its not my fault.

I should probly change the fluid soon cause of all the metal filings from grinding correct?. Does GM Syncromesh fluid really help it alot and some gear oil?

Thanks guys, this is really pissing me off right now

Yes, change your oil. I have used GM Syncromesh and like it, you can also use Pennzoil Synchromesh as AutoZone, same thing less money.

Have you checked you clutch adjustment? and your shift cable adjustment?
Hmm No I havnt actually. How do I do so is it on Vfaq?
^^Change the fluid, inspect ALL shifter bushings, at the ends of the cables and the base of the shifter, check you're clutch adjustment. Hopefully these things fix it, how many miles are on the car? If it does not go away after all that, it may not entirely until the trans get's rebuilt, I've owned cars that have gone both ways, and the worse feeling in the world is having a car that can beat the guy next to you and you miss a shift b/c you're busy grinding you're way through you're gear's  , I hope the best for you and that fluids and bushings fix you're problems.

173,000km's. I got back all the original recieps from the prev owner(s). Theres about 4,000 alone in tranny work and it still sucks. I dunno if its good or bad but I tried just going into 1st while going about 50km/h with the clutch in (didnt actually go into gear) and it grinded liek bloody hell, it never used to this and its getting worse and worse.

Im debating wheather to get GM Syncro or That BG synchro shift.
I've personally used bg syncroshift with good results, my talons getting close to 178,000 miles and it just recently broke a fork and wont stay in 5th under load. I flushed it with Automatic Type-F fluid, I ran it about 20 miles then changed to 2 quart Mobil 1 synthetic (all walmart had on the shelf at 3am) and .4 quart bg syncro mix (I did'nt want to waste my last .4 quarts of bg), worked really well..

well if thats true he got majorly ripped off. You can get a full tranny build by the best shops in the world (TRE or shepracing) for way less than that. For 4000$ they would pack it so full of goodies it would shift like butter, and be 2 times stronger than stock.

a basic rebuilt AWD is only 1450$ with core.

Theres just that much over the last 15 years or so, not in all one shot. 1,3,5, synchros were replaced it said and a fork. Someother stuff too. Hmm sometimes it is better than others though, thismorning when it was cold it SUCKED, later this afternoon it still sucked but was DECENT ;)
bleed and refill everything, then see if the problem persists...
Yeah shifting and grinding when its not your fault is not attractive to bystanders. It is really embarrassing. I always thing there like, "Man that kid can't even drive a stick! HAR HAR HAR HAR HAR!!!" Mine is terrible. ES converted to Tsi, without any tranny or clutch mods. yeah yeah...I'm workin on it.
I would go with bg but I'm using the gm and It seemed to help me!
Good luck.
