Walbro making wierd noise not whinning

The last few day i've noticed that my walbro 255 has been kinda screeching a little bit on top of its normal whine. It almost sounds like a loose belt under the hood would sound like only not as loud. It is not rewired. When i first noticed the noise it was only at idle and if i reved it up it would stop which kinda lead me in the direction that it needed to be rewired but now it makes this noise all the time no matter what rpm's i am at. Is the pump on its way out? Its only about 2 years old and has less than 10,000 miles on it. I also have a low rpm knock problem until the car warms up and i lose fuel pressure as soon as i shut the car off i am not sure if any of these things have anything to do with each other but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

My only guess would be your pump is going out since the noise changes. My Walbro has whined since day one which is normal
I would think they would last 100,000 miles, not 10,000 miles.
I'd start by pulling the pump and making sure the inlet screen isn't coated in crap.

Is there any way to clean it if it is without messing it up?
