I've got 1 1g bov... great shape. Drilled and crushed. $40 shipped
I know what crushing them does what does drilling them do
can you please explain to me what crushing and drilling dose to them
tell me somthing about these 1g bovs. If it it vented to atmosphere will it be open and sucking in air at idle?
Crushing is litteraly crushing (in a vice or with a hammer etc) moderately the top of the bov so it holds more boost and the drilling is for the same purpose i believe. Crushing is enough in most cases.95awd26 said:can you please explain to me what crushing and drilling dose to them

no it is only open when the it needs to be vented so the pressure wont slow down the turbo. the only downside, when you release the blow off into the atmosphere, metered air is being lost. the maf doesnt know where its going and tries to compensate from the loss of air. so you may get some issues from that aspect.vegabass15 said:tell me somthing about these 1g bovs. If it it vented to atmosphere will it be open and sucking in air at idle?
im pretty sure 1g bov's do suck in air at idle when venting, thats why people have such bad issues with idle on a 1g bov when venting where as they dont with hks ssqv bov's.
