How about Hawk HPS (carbon metallic); found them in a local store and the guy said he would let me have them for the price of metal masters $60. Mitsu parts sell poorly he said and he has several of them (honduh stuff brings him most of the money).
Yup; garbage. Not only were they nothing impresive in my 94AWD, but they left break dust all over the F'n place! Wouldn't have been too much of a problem if I hadn't had white wheels! My rims looked like total shit for about 4 months, I ended up getting rid of my car.
I've used Porterfield R4S pads with great success. Hands down one of the best pads for a DSM. I used them on the stock 90-92 small brakes & they still worked very well. I recently upgraded to the "big brakes" & will be ordering the R4S for them as soon as the pads that came w/ the brakes are worn out. The metal masters aren't really any better than stock from what I've found. The EBCs greens aren't meant for heavy cars like ours.. & the reds don't work when cold.
