What intake should I buy?

My brother was going to give me a filter for my 99 GST, but he said that I have to get an intake so I can put that on. My question is, what is a good, reliable intake for a decent price (used or new)?

What kind of filter is this? Most K$N and generic performance brands should just be hold on by clamps...It should just connect to the mas and so unless this replaces the mas somehow, your stock intake tube should still connect to the mas, and the mas should still connect to the filter so it should work

The filter is a K&N, but he said he couldn't because the mas square, and the filter is round. Would I just be better off buying a square filter?

most 2G MAS adapters are for a round filter with a 4.5" opening

personally i'd go with a Dejon tool intake i've seen them on a few dsm's and they look f..king awesome

your either going to need the 4.5" round silver looking adapter or the plastic 3" adapter depending on the filter size measure the ID of the filter coupling and then that should tell you. they sell them everywhere

Check ebay for the MAS adapter. Like said above they come in different sizes. Some filters use a round base and some like the k&Ns use an oval base. Just make sure you get the appropriate adapter.

Yeah, I am used to the built-in MAS air can

But, I should've known since my 1g had a 2g mas adapter, and either way, you should just be able to find the adapter for the filter-to-mas, rather than blow another $150 on a 3" intake with little other mods

intake pipes are overrated. just get the adapter plate.

www.extremepsi.com i would go 4 the extreme psi intake, it gives you a better throtle response and maybe some hp+

I got a intake off a guy named staplz for 45 shipped and a filter for 20 from the trader shipped. Does the same thing as your 100+ dollar like dejon and such and looks damn good in silver also.
