it depends on what your goals are. what kind of hp do you wanna push? what 1/4 mile time would you like to have? what do you have done to the car now? what do you plan on doing to support a t28 or t3/t4 hybrid? etc....

around 350-400 hp car is still stock under the hood but plan on getting new intercooler, injectors, and bov for now
id reccomend a 50-trim or a green from forced performance. take a look at forced performances turbos. they some some of, if not the best turbos you can buy. they know thier stuff too. give them a call. you might a few more supporting mods also. it could get exspensive to get in the 400AWHP range.
the good ole evoIII 16g will get you there...plus it wont murder your bank account.
16g is more than capable of getting you there...
my goal is 400 and my choice is a evo III 16g. faster spool up than larger turbos, yet efficient to get you to 400 with the right mods/tuning.
personally i'd go with the agp rs49 turbo i've heard alot of great things about the rs49,like a no questions asked warranty and 400+hp with the right supporting mods
I'm going evo3 with supporting mods and I've heard nothing but great things about the turbo for everyday cars!

Evo 3 is a good choice. I'm having a similar dilemma and that will probably be the route I go also. Just make sure the get the real MHI one instead of the knock-off GT version.
Ahh for the price you can get alot better turbo than a 16g, and get away from the horrible to05 16g and 20g thrust bearing problem. I havent got more than 5kmiles out of a 16g before the thrust bearing goes out. Why does everyone not go garrett when they upgrade. You can get any garrett you want and than buy a bullseye housing for 170-200 to make it a bolt on. Garrett makes a far superior to mitsubishi. The 14b is good at lasting a long time, but as far as the 16 and 20g's i want to see one with 50k miles on it with no shaft play. Go to turbocalculator.com and get a garrett hybrid t3-t4 50 trim without the exhaust housing for probably 350 brand new. Than get a bullseye housing and call it a day. I am not saying that these factory garrets are better than the fp's but by far better than any 16g, mitsubishi did switch to garrett turbos in the 2g's, maybe they know something that we don't.
i bought a t3/t4 turbo for mine, only one problem. It wont fit betwee the engine and the fans!!! What to do?
