depends on what kind of boost you plan on running. i'd say get the fuel pump anyways if your gonna mod the car at all it's like buying cheap insurance for your upgrades and engine. they aren't that expensive. you can get one for a little over $100.

or if you want to be a cheap ass, you can run up to 15psi with the stock unit or just re-wire the original. I wouldn't recommend running above 15psi even on a re-wire though.

I was originally running mine primarily stock, w/ the exception of a FMIC and a boost controller, (pretty bad for the first 2 mods.) and I was running 19lbs, and eventually checked out at .97, very rich. I checked my fule pump w/ a digital multi meter, and mine is getting full voltage back at the pump. Just goes to show I guess that not all car's ARE created equal :p
