Just like the song by Kayne West, 'She takes my money when I'm in need!'

I present the Gold Digger, finally though of a nick name of the car lol. I've had it since April I believe of this year. I'm working on a completely new set up now, not that I had much of a set up to begin with, consisting of a 6 bolt swap (maybe with a 2g head), Holset HX35, custom top mount, custom downpipe, short route FMIC kit, ECM Link, meth injection and some other goodies along the way. I'll also be converting it to full 2Gb Eclipse exterior with some carbon fiber bits and some custom stuff (HID and LED retros).

How the car currently sits.

The 6 bolt block I grabbed for a steal.

Block will consist of all ARP hardware, Kiggly gridle, 1G big rods (which I already have), 2G pistons. Still looking for a head I'm torn on weither I will run a 2G head or not. Regardless it will be freshened up with new parts and seals and some Kelford cams.

I'll update this as parts keep rolling in!

Was down in cleaning up my storage unit and I took some pictures.

What's this?!?
Image

Oh hai! 6 bolt block and crank, looks pretty good but I need to get unlazy and drop it off for inspection.
Image

Image

1G Big rods, the pistons are junk because they hit the valves.
Image

Providing everything checks out at the machine shop next week, I'll be buying some Wiseco 9:1 CR .20 overbore pistons for it. I won't mention that I pretty much need to buy EVERYTHING for this block as it's completely bare.
I'll be running my 2G head on it, other then a rebuild, Crower valve train and BC Cams; the head will be stock.

This set up will be in no way shape or form done this year, way too much to do. Next year though....hehehe...

Why over bore it if it does not need it?

Alright so I'm sitting here trying to come up with a list of all the parts I need. The parts I've got down are non rotating assembly (no bearings, internals, etc) and not gaskets (as I will likely buy a gasket 'kit').
Here's what I've come up with so far:
Front Oil Pump Case (likely from STM with gears and gaskets)
Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Case
Oil Squirters x4
Oil Pick Up/Stainer
Oil Pan
Oil Dipstick
BLE Timing Belt Tensioner
Tensioner Pulley
Idler Pulley
1G Air Cooled OFH
Front Cover (Castle) Plug and O-Ring
1G Water Pump
1G Freeze Plugs
1G Thermostat Housing
1G Water Neck
1G Water Pipe
Crankshaft Timing Gear

Now if I've left anything out, please let me know.

Another question is I will not be running AC nor Power Steering with this motor, is there an OEM crank pulley which will only support the alt or should I buy Fluidamper Harmonic Balancer?

Well, a lot of changes since I last posted in here. I had to abandon the 6 bolt build due to some financial issues, basically I was sick of being in debt so I parted everything out to get rid of it.

I'm moving cross the country, back east to Newfoundland and as such I wanted to fix all the lingering issues with the car. It's due for a T-belt, water pump and accessory belts plus my clutch slips a bit. I also noticed that my exhaust manifold has a crack, 1 stud is missing and the gasket doesn't look too hot. I've got a bunch of parts coming, some upgrades will be happening too. As the parts roll in this week I'll be posting pictures, the car will getting dropped off at a local DSMer's place this weekend so he can do the work to it.

14B Turbo, got it for cheap and it will allow a bit more fun once I have all the supporting mods for it (FMIC, Injectors, AFPR and pump).
Image

ECMLink Lite V3, got it on sale from SBR and couldn't resist. I can now retire my sub par EvoScan logging software and be able to tune at the same time.
Image

Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel. Stock is 19lbs, this one is 9lbs. IMO this will wake up the car big time.

Got some more parts today.
When unpacking I noticed that I forgot the ACT Street Disc, d'oh! So I had to place an order for that, Ziggy @ RTM Racing is loving me right now lol.
Plus it seems that UPS doesn't know how to use a bloody intercom, they are likely coming again tomorrow but I'm sure I'll have to go to the depot. Anyhow, on to the pictures.

Big ol box, what's inside?
Image

OOOO, parts!
Image

Bought a crap load of maintenance stuff, all of it is OEM Mitsubushi except for a couple things.
Timing belt kit with out the balance shaft stuff.
Image

Balance shaft eliminator kit with new front case seal, oil filter housing seal, front crank seal and rear main seal.
Image

New Accessory belts (A/C, P/S and alternator).
Image

Valve cover gasket kit and SS socket head bolts for the valve cover.
Image

I think this one is self explanatory, spark plug wires.
Image

More clutch parts too, slave cylinder had to be ordered in so it will be here tomorrow (along with more goodies). However here's my new master cylinder, clutch fork, pivot ball, TOB and TOB clip.
Image

Got tired of my ticky lifters so here's 16 new top line lifters.
Image

ARP Headstuds for boosting over 20PSI.
Image

Prothane poly motor mounts, front and rear inserts, sides are complete replacements. Car will be rock solid and with out the balance shafts it will likely shake like a crack whore.
Image

-3AN oil line to remote mount my oil temp and pressure sensors, I need to get some 1/8" NPT to 1/8" NPT Male to female adapters so I can get some space between the two sensors.
Image

Image

Lastly for today's new parts, RTM's 14B/16G install kit for the 2G. Bolts right up to the stock SMIC and has a push lock oil drain (fracking cool stuff imo).
Image

Here's the other thing I've been working on slowly, I just removed some stickers and redid it. It's a 5 panel wink mirror.

More parts came this morning, damn courier woke me up knocking on the door lol.

Grabbed an OE-Style harmonic balancer/crank pulley. Since the rubber wears out on these and they are considered a wear item, I decided it's better safe then sorry.
Image

My new slave cylinder, OEM Mitsubushi.
Image

Since I found a crack in my manifold, I decided to buy a nice tubular one to add some bling in the bay. Ok it's Chinese but the welds look pretty damn good so I'll take my chances.
Image

Image

New Exhaust manifold studs.
Image

Lastly, an OEM 4 layer exhaust gasket.

UPS showed up before I left for work today, almost have all new toys. Just waiting on 2 more things.

My EPROM ECU is now here. It was socketed and had the caps replaced by Thomas at ECM Link about a year ago.
Image

Image

With the ECM Link chip in place. I can't wait to start playing around with this.
Image

My street disc showed up.
Image

Now for the really sweet part;
Image

HKS 272 cams, cannot wait to hear the car loping away at idle with these bad boys.
Counting the days till she goes under the knife!!

Well minus a slight cluster fuck with UPS that I won't even bother going into, I know have all my parts for this little build.
The last pieces of the puzzle showed up today. Starting with a 2G complete SS clutch line from master to slave (removed the accumulator).
Image

My ACT 2600 Pressure plate, used but in great condition.
Image

Hit up a Part store for some fittings, first is a barb fitting for the lower intercooler pipe boost source.
Image

Also got fittings to space the oil sensors apart, it's ugly but I'll support it with some padded wire clamps.
Image

Picked up a new AEM wide band sensor because mine went south.
Image

Small pile of parts awaiting install (I can't wait!)
Image

Here's some pictures of the wink mirror, I get a lot of questions about it. Some hate it, some love it.

Yeah, BSE was easy with the engine out, I can't picture having to do it in my FWD with Prothanes all around. Ugh. You should do some tucking and bay cleaning when you're in there :)
