yea its getting black carpet on it as soon as the local audio shop where i live gets more black carpet in, they have every other color but black gesh  they need to get my damn sub in too...

Nice work. Should look great once you carpet the flush board and get your other sub back.

The real question is... how does it sound?? Almost looks like the back 2-3" of the woofer is directly under the deck lid.

it sounds AWESOME. haha, the best part i this. whn i had my regular bo just facing backwards, i loved thumpin te bass but hated it at the same time cause everyone but the people in my car heard was ::RATTTTLEEEEEEEE:: but since facing them upwards, NO rattle!!!! i was so afraid i was going to need to dynamat the shit outta the hatch, but i dont! yes and the bottom 2 inches or so up the sub arent visible when i close the hatch, so yea its underneath it a little, but still sound sweet, i suggest turning your sub box upards to eliminate rattle instead of wasting 150 bucks on dynamat

thanks everyone, finished pics soon! :D

should be noted that its proven to get the most bass sound out of your subs in a hatchback they should be pointed directly toward the back window :)

I was just wondering, since it looked like they were pretty far back under the deck lid.

My sub is in the RR corner of the hatch, firing upward directly into the deck lid as well. However there is plenty of air space between the sub and deck lid, as my box is about 3-4" shorter (height) than yours. Sub is an Infinity Beta10X. It's a bit of a sleeper, most people mistake it for 2 10s or single 12...

I was thinking about doing the same thing except not as deep. Since i decided i'm selling the talon i obviously scraped the idea. I plan to use my system in my accord but since i plan to sell that in the future (just a car to hold me over) I have no plans for a major build up. I definately think you should use fiberglass instead of carpet and paint it. I think it would look better and since the surface is totally flat, it will be very easy (even if you have never used fiberglass before.
