Long and short fuel trim is at 100%, timing advance is at 38 deg at 25-2600 rpm. I know the timing is off, the car sounds like a lumpy V8. The timing is off by only one tooth, I just cant seem to guess which one it is. Gonna try and fix it, but since the guy is coming to pick his car up tomorrow - and knows the timing is off, and if I did not have time he said not to sweat it - I might not. Oh well. Anyone go through something similar??

Timing advance will always be high when you're cruising/reving, it drops to 15-20 under wot.

Doesn't mean anything unless you are under a load. WOT is what you need to worry about. BTW- just because your car idles like crap doesn't mean the timing belt is off by a tooth or more. Pull the timing belt cover and line up all the timing marks.

yeah there is no problem with it being that advanced. there is no load on the motor...
