I like the Pilot projectors. They fit nicely in the cutouts with a little bracket work and lay out a good sharp cutoff beam for under $50 at the AutoZones here in Phoenix.

I have a set of Hella Optilux 1100 coming for some experimenting with. I got them from Autobarn.com for under $50 shipped with their $1 shipping special until the 18th of Jan. They look like the Pilots (or vise-versa) and I'll be interested to see which is the better value.

The ones in my sig pic are the Pilot fogs.

Talon non-specific

I don't think there are any Talon specific aftermarket fogs but plenty of people have installed aftermarket universal fogs on these cars. What kind of info are you looking for?
I'm looking for possible replacements for the OEM, and my main concern is functionality; I'd like something that provides better light than the OEM, and can be mounted without too much trouble.

The extra perk of preventing my baby from looking like rotten a** is a plus. ;)

Here are few pics of my aftermarket lamps. The factory lamps certainly make mounting choices easier. I am very happy with the distinct cutoff line these projectors have. I have seen them converted to HID on another website too. If you mount aftermarket be sure to plan access so they can be aligned easily. When I first got my car the previous owner had them mounted too far forward and they were easily knocked out of alignment. You couldn't access the screws to adjust them because he had covered the screw that holds the trim ring in place. By mounting the lamps further back, I can now access it easier and don't have to jack up the car to get under it from the bottom just to get to those screws.

Since I have the bumper off for other work here's a few pics.

Since screw is angled I can still access it here.

Aluminum plate steps light bracket proper distance down from bumper reinforcement piece.

Thanks azdave, this is definitely good to know!
Regarding the alignment, being a bit further back is there much worry about snow under the bumper knocking them out of alignment?

Snow?? What's that! I'm in Phoenix.

Actually, I do think the placement further back will help because the mounting brackets are not extended to the max and there is a little more room between the lamp housing and the plastic fog lamp insert. I have lowered my 98 and with the old location if I dragged the bumper pulling into a parking lot it would flex the bumper up a little and move the fog lights. Now that it is more solidly mounted and located further back the bumper can move around more and not touch the lamp unless it's a real serious hit.

It's been awhile since I lived in the "rust belt" but I think they would be pretty safe from snow load where I have them.

I had to decide on the same thing. I ended up holding out for oem ones. On eclipses, you can use anything that is round and it will look stock. On talons i think it would be hard to find some that look like they were meant to be there. You will either have to chose between circular ones or square ones since no one makes any even close to the shape of the stock ones. I was think about making a fiberglass housing and plexi glass lens so i could sell to people. They you could just cut out a hole for the foglight. Maybe someone else who is more skilled could do that. If i do ever do that i'll pm you. I would need to work on my fiberglassing skills.

Definitely let me know if you end up doing something like that!
I noticed that your sig's photo seems to have your foglights almost bluish; did you replace the bulbs?
They also looked like their placement has changed?

I only have one on. One is cracked. The blue is reflection from the paint. If i do take on this project, it probably won't be too soon. I just thought it might be a good idea since no one can find them. If i do make some, keep in mind that my skills with fiberglass are far from professional. Maybe i'll take the cracked one apart this weekend and see whats involved. I can't garrentee that i'll actually do it though. I just think it would be a fun project and worthwhile for people. I'm sure couldn't really even make a profit since i can't get materials for cheap. I probably should have made some before i brought it up. I don't want it to turn out like eagletsi's headlight project. Like i said, don't get your hopes up but it may happen.
