Well, answering the question that no one seemed to have the answer for when I needed it. I dont have a any pics as of the install process, but I will have after pics soon enough and I can walk you throught the process. The first step is to cut off those little nipple things that is on the 97-98 wing. Your car does not have the trunklid shaped for these little mounting things, so I just cut them off. The second step is to get that God-aweful toenail wing off of your car, it slides right over the windshield wiper and comes right off. Then you are stuck with a bunch of little holes, and one big ass hole for the harness plug that went into the car. Next step is to wax where, the old wing was because if your car was anything like mine it was very very faded. Now put the new wing on and center it, this is best done with another person, that can concur or disagree with ur measurements. Next I used some plumbers putty, to mark the holes, u can use whatever you want. I put the putty in the screw holes in the ends of the wing, and lined it up, then pushed down on the wing, leaving two nice marks on my car, with the putty. Now you have your two pilot holes for drilling. I used a 1/8 inch drill bit and bored them out just slightly enought to where the screw had a little play in it. Now you put those two screws in using rtv to seal the holes, and using 3m body shop tape to seal around the edges. Now you have the back. There are two holes that need to be drilled with the same 1/8 inch drill bit, and you will need to make another large whole for the new harness plug. I used an electricians tool that is used to bore holes, instead of a hole saw, I was very impressed with the results. You also have to make corresponding holes on the inside of the trunk lid to allow for a screw driver or socket, depending on the fasteners that you use, to tighten and insert the screws/bolts. The second to last step is to use self tapping screws right behind the mounting bracket that you cut off. Drill a small pilot hole in the fiberglass beforehand so you don't crack it. Use rtv on it and you should be all set. Now you just line everything up, tighten it down, to make sure that it is lined up. Put the third brake light in, I got all of my screws and fasteners from Lowes/Home Depot. Use rtv silicone and the 3m tape religously all the way around and you will be very pleased with the results. Wasn't very hard, took about 2 hours. Just take your time and work slow as to not dick up and drill unnecessary holes in your car and it will turn out as expected. Also dont overtighten the mounting scews because you will rip the mounting hole out of the fiberglass. I will have pics very soon.
