I've been hearing 250ft/lbs of torque.... That turbo will slip the stock for sure.. .or at least it won't last long!

Shit with the mods listed in my sig my stock pressure clutch will slip like it's covered in oil if I even halfway try and launch the car, so you are definitely going to need an upgraded clutch with an evo 16g. My 2600 should be here tomorrow then i'm getting the ACT flywheel to go with it. I can't wait to get those parts installed.

Definitely plan on getting a new clutch. As long as you are doing clutch, you might as well get a lightweight flywheel too.

I read your profile and your only mod was K&N filter. Please tell me you have more.

i do have few other mods already ;)
i have FMIC, Greddy type-s BOV, Greddy EGT,Boost, autometer air/fuel gauges, MBC.
i will buy CF DF clutch.

thanks for all replies :p

I have my stock clutch still. I boost 19psi daily, and I've ran more. The clutch only slipped once. That was when I did 4 runs at the track in a row. Now I just let it cool after each run. I've gotten at least 50 runs at the track since I've got the car. It's been there at just about every stage. Maybe I have an aftermarket one... lol. I plan on upgrading to an act 2600 soon enough just in case though. I'm getting a lightened flywheel (fidanza) while I'm at it.

Don't forget to get 550cc injectors, at least a 190lph fuel pump, and something to tune the fuel with (dsmlink, s-afc, etc.). Good luck! :D

i'm buying walbro 190l/h and PP SMT6 piggyback but i don't know about the injectors...
on this site is written:
(450cc) 42 lbs/hr 4 cyl 325 to 375 hp
so it looks like i don't need bigger injectors for 300-320hp...

It's nice to have the headroom though. :)

I have heard nothing good about the CFDF's, if you search the forums you read about these slipping at 4000 miles all the time. Get an ACT and play it safe.

I just burned my stock clutch really bad today, it was at 7 grand right after I shifted into second and the RPM's just stayed there while the car accelerated through 2nd gear. I was still able to lay down a 13.7 @ 99 with stock exhaust (no cat) and a full weight AWD.
Should I go with ACT 2100 or 2600??

With how my car is now my clutch will only slip if I let off the clutch too slow and put too much gas in then the clutch will just burn but if I am not a dumbass and concentrate hehe when I launch from a stop or even from a slow roll I can get her to go and spin the tires instead of the clutch, but she hooks up pretty good at the top of 2nd and then in 3rd I am just taking off. :)

i will install fuel and turbo and then (cash) will change clutch to ACT2600 (crankwalk  )

what is the limit for 190l/h walbro?
do i need evo3 o2 housing or can i port the stock one?

thanks :)

a seriously ported 2G o2 housing is about on par with a evoIII housing. DOnt waste your time with a 2g housing. get the evo and port it.
I have ran 19 PSI on race gas with a stock rewired pump in my 93 AWD. The 190 LPH pump is good for not having to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. If you have a regulator just get a 255 LPH or a supra pump. I plan on getting the walbro 190 with the stock FPR.

Unless you have a 3 inch all the way back exhaust system I would just port your stock o2 housing. There's no reason to just throw money away on an evo iii housing when a ported 2G works very well already and is easier to bolt to most downpipes.

********* Note to Mods-this is not a sales endorsement********

Not many DSMers look into it but clutch masters has some AWESOME clutches that are designed around crank walk. They custom make their clutches to have the least amount of pressure transfered against the bearings. there is alot to it which can be seen on their site or i would be happy to help answer any questions. i personally run one of these clutches on my 2g and its great.
