Has anyone seen, or know where to get, a fitting that takes the nylon hose form an autometer boost guage and converts it to a barbed fitting for rubber hose? I'f you've seen it, you'll know what I'm talking about....

I saw one once but it was only sold with the guage and they weren't available seperate. Now that I'm chasig all possible boost leaks in my system I'd like a better connection than the backyard method I'm using currently...

Thanks in advance,
Mike

You can get compression fittings at Home Depot to do the job.. but why the hell would you want to use a barb fitting in the first place?
So I don't have to drill and tap my intake manifold...

I just used a plastic T fitting and a short piece of flexible rubber tubing (not like a vaccum hose, has a much thinner wall). It works great and is clean and hard to see. Not like the huge metal fittings.

the "huge metal fittings" Dave is criticizing are on mine, I believe. :)

I have changed my setup a littel since you last saw it, Dave. It's nto as "home depot" looking now. Oh, but the change cost like 30 cents so I didn't lose my "cheapskate" integrity. :)

There is a fitting you can get at "autozone" that takes the nylon tubing and goes into a "tee" so you can just T it into your line. Don't know what it's called, but you have to look in that misc section with all the vacuum hoses and T's etc. Costs like a few bucks.
