I go to pick up my car tomorrow and the only thing i could rent was a tow dolly. Can anyone explain the procedure for removing the driveshaft from the rear... i'm asking because it will be total darkness about 1am so any imput would greatly help.
Disconnecting driveshaft for towing with dolly please help!

only thing i can prob think of is to take the transfercase off and to make sure you tie the drive shaft up...www.vfaq.com has the procedure to take out the transfer case...hope that helps

yes, you can disconntect the driveshaft from the rear diff with 4 12mm bolts/nuts. BE SURE to tie the driveshaft up very very securly and out of the way of the input flange of the rear, as that will be spinning away while the car is towed.psh_tsi said:
