new intake manifold on the block (what you guys think of these?)

check it out, it looks fairly good, and i am thinking bout going with 1 but i am not sure bout their claims

They look like crap actually. As far as I can tell the runners stay square all the way to the head. Do they actually try and merge square like that?

Also that plenum may flow more up top, but I bet a crap load of power is lost in the bottom of the power band. Looks like they just made a box and welded tubes on there.

I like how they take the close-up shot of the one 2" section of welding that doesn't look like @$$. And no, I don't think table legs are good for airflow. Just my $.02.

Looks like ass in design and craftsmanship. I'd predict no gain up top and a mid range loss in power if you installed one of those things. IMO, it's not worth the metal they wasted to tac it together.

You might gain a little top end for the fact they shortened the runners etc. But personally, for 200$ more you can get 1 from jim, jmfabrications.com which is a HELLUVA lot nicer. I love mine.

You should email the seller and ask if there is an internal velocity stack. I would also like to see pictures of the runner ports. I certainly hope that the runners are rounded on the inside to match the head.

You all forget, it doesnt matter what it looks like on the outside, its how it looks on the inside. I suspect there is a reason that the seller is not showing pictures of the inside.

If you look very closely at one of the pics, you'll see the "port" for the first of the runners flush with the plenum "floor." This isn't good.

Take a look at the way the runners are set-up inside the plenum on the Magnus MotorSports sheet metal intake if you can find a pic of them. They are set up off of the floor like little velocity stacks for a reason.

I do not believe that this intake could hold a candle to Magnus' design. Check this out.

Edit - my fuel rail is much prettier now. I just need a new pic.

I agree the design looks like crap and probably doesn't have near the gain a magnus or jmfab but he has sold quite a few of these and i'd like to hear from someone who has bought one.
