my temp gauge never went above halfway hot so i'm just about to go crazy over here

oh yea yall leave my yellow hoses alone. THe caps i had on the tb nippels were leaking ant this was just a quick fix

I bet it's the hoses going to your FIAV (fast idle air valve) they bring in coolant to your tb to raise the idle on a cold start. The hose goes from the thermostat housing to the throttle body, then from the throttle to one of the heater hoses. Check these for leaks. Did the steam smell like coolant boiling?

If its not the hose that is leaking then it may be the FIAV itself. You may have to replace the whole TB, i don't think you can get the lower half of the TB by itself.

Yes it did

If it's the heater core line's it could be dripping on the exhaust.
i dunno bout that. I wouldve bad to be pouring out fluid for it to get all over the driveshaft and xfer caseadn then to the xhasut. right?

i would reccomend replacing all your lines back there... the heater core ones are a huge pain.. but if you replace them all you wont have to touch them for a while... and you will not be stranded because of a stupid small pin hole in a meaningless coolant line... replace them... i have been there before... ;)
