Well most of you remember my post from last year, I had the 2.3L stroker and ran my best last year with it at 11.1 @130mph. well after breaking 1 crank and throwing 1 rod bearing I decided against the stroker motor and went back to the 2.0L motor and have never looked back.

Most of you know me by the name "evil_eagle" from other boards but someone has got that name on the this forum so I went with another user name lol.

Anyway, on with what I ran.

Well I finnally got the 11 sec monkey off my back, was a great day at the tracks, weather could not be any more perfect!! 1st pass of the day felt alittle weird, I hit 2nd gear and the car lost all power, did not know wtf was going on so I lifted and coasted, checked the log and it just was waaaay too rich with 9.9 A/F ratio.

fp3065 turbo AEM EMS

made the adjustments and 2nd pass of the day I netted this.

r/t .020
60ft 1.626
330ft 4.651
1/8th 7.074
mph 103.43
1000ft 9.146
1/4 10.875
mph 131.31

I was sooo damn excited!!! I couldnt beleive it I finnaly did it.
3rd pass of the day was my fastest and back it up with this

r/t .231
60ft. 1.652
330ft. 4.676
1/8th 7.085
mph 103.99
1000 9.142
1/4 10.855
mph 132.37

This was done on 26lbs of boost and c16 race fuel through the muffler on street tires again. Still drove the car home!! drove it out, and drove it home!!! I love it!!!

Now it's time for sheet metal intake manifold, maybe a bigger exhaust since I am alittle restricted as of now, slicks, coil overs, o-ring the head, and 30+lbs of boost.

This was done on a stock 93 AWD tranny, open diff and all. No drag radials, good ole toyo proxes 215/45/17 rims and tires. Car weighs in at 3150 with me in it, car is daily driven.

Glad to be in the 10's finnaly, WOW what a rush it was!!

here is the video of my 2 10 sec passes along with some other things as well.

right click and save as please.

Enjoy it!!

Oh and yes I got the car painted this year, the faded out silver paint was not cutting the cookie

Badass video man.
I cant believe you are pulling these times with stock Tranny and suspension!
Thanks man! I have eibach springs now, stock struts though, as far as the trans, we will see how long it will hold, I imagine not much longer but I have had plenty of passes on the street and 12 passes on the track so far this year without one break (knock on wood lol)

So whats your tuning secret? =)
Not to break anything haha, I've got hours and hours of tuning on the AEM EMS, it's still has room to tune for, but I have learned that A/F between 11.4-12.5 a/f ratio does nothing for me, so trick of the trade is to run it rich as you can and add timing, the rich a/f ratio will keep it from detonating. But I have noticed that if I lean it out the car feals some what better, but did not pick any time up on et nor mph, so why have it that lean.

But the major tuning part is best kept secret. :D

with only 26 psi, i would guess lots of timing.

the secret though, is AEM EMS...
the car still has lots of room for timing, but as if now I would rather play it safe till I get the head o-ringed, right now I am just using a OEM mitsu composite head gasket with ARP's. That run with 26lbs of boost was at 17 degrees of total timing, knock volts never climbed past 1.8v on the log, so I would say I have plenty of room.

The motor is fully done, ross pistons, crower rods, 1mm over size valves, crower srping and retainers, HKS 272/272, head has been ported, ect ect ect.

how much compression are you running?

also, a mitsu metal head gasket is preferred by MANY over o-ringing the top end.

a metal head gasket combined with your arp studs will take a tremendous amount of abuse.

compression 8.5~1

Yeah i would imagine so on the metal HG, we will see what I decide to go with.

8.5:1 is the money number.

im running 9:1 wiseco's and wish i would have run 8.5:1 as i do a lot of driving on the street.
Yeah it's a good compression ratio, easy to tune and less prone to knock.

Next season I am going to try the 8.0~1 ross pistons so I can run plenty of nitrous and boost.

So I'm guessing your AFR was in the high 10's? :p I am pretty happy I went with 8.3:1's on my car (Wisecos) - It should make that knock stay away especially since 2 weeks ago, we will no longer be getting any 93 octane here. Seems like I am in the same boat with Dom. and other Cali. folks with the owl piss gas.

That's pretty decent time for street tires. I wish I could watch the video. :(

what happened to 93 octane? that totally sucks. i remember when we lost 92 octane here in cali probably 6 or 7 years ago.

you know something funny... when i rebuilt my motor, RRE sold me a set of 8.3:1 wisecos by mistake. I really wanted 9:1 so i drove an hour and took them back and swapped them out. boy, do i wish i stayed with those 8.3:1s. do you experience any piston slap with your wisecos Mike?

:sigh:

Thanks man, yeah it's been awhile hasnt it?

Anyway, thanks everyone for the kind replys, hopefully I can get a 10.50 pass out of it on may 1st for the next race, JMfabrication sheet metal intake manfifold is on the way as we speak. I'm hopeing to hit 135+mph with his manfifold.

I will keep everyone updated.
