I hope I don't get many flames from the 3rd gen owners. I'm not trying to dis the 3rd gen's but this was such a funny kill that I have to post it.
I was on my way to work this afternoon just mindin' my own and I noticed a white 3rd gen eagerly trying to catch up to me. This was on a semi-busy 40mph street (Gary Ave. if you're from the Chicago suburbs). He finally caught up after cutting through the traffic behind me and ended up right behind me when we hit a red light. I stopped, I see him behind me and he had a smirk in his face. I knew what he was planning. There was a cargo van next to me in the left lane and he knew that I would normally get ahead of it giving him room to cut in front so he could hand it down to me and have a kill story for his friends. Unfortunately for him, I took the turbo badge off my car(it's a 90) and it from the back it looks just like a GS w/ an exhaust. The light turns green and I heard tires chirping. He launched his car behind me and I only took off normally. He did just what I was expecting and as soon as he got on the lane next to me, I heard his motor rev up. I stayed in 2nd but not yet accelerating hard, waited for him to be next to me, I looked at him, waved goodbye, hit my profec remote switch and punched it at around 45, hit redline shifted into 3rd and by then he was at least 10-15 cars behind(maybe??? but he was far) then I hit my 4-ways. I must've gotten up to around 90 and then let off. I let him catch up a bit and as soon as he rolled by me, he had a very surprised reaction and said "Damn, That was Fast!!, Is it a turbo????".....
I got to give him a little credit though, he was a little faster than I expected but still not a match for a modded 1st or 2nd gen.
