I only have the fuel pump rewired. I do not plan on boosting the turbo over 13-14 psi until I get injectors and DSM link (and a FPR and the FP installed)

I should be able to run this turbo just fine as long as the boost is low, but the airfilter light keeps coming on. The car runs fine. Everything is back together and I can't figure out why this light won't go out. Anything I need to know?

umm not familiar with the intake light thingy??? but did you try resetting the ecu.. maybe it needs to do some re-learning due to the huge jump in airflow.. also try cranking the boost way down.. just some thoughts

I thought it was a circus light at first lol

Maybe one of your water lines is leaking oodles of fluid and you've yet to notice?!

If it is indeed intake related, check the piping before the turbo. If those are leaking it'll give you all sorts of headaches.

I have a 95. It is not leaking coolant, the coolant is fine and the thermostat opens and closes like it is supposed to. It is the yellow light that looks like an air filter that comes on like when you blow off a hose.

There is no light that comes on when you blow off an intercooler pipe...

Are you sure it's not the low coolant light? That light comes on when the coolant is low or empty in the overflow bottle, not the engine. You can have plenty of coolant in your system but if the overflow is empty, that light will come on. That is the only light I can think of that would resemble an air filter.

Mine was empty for months after I changed my fluid. I literally took it out and cleaned it all nice. There was absolutely nothing in it. Never had a light come on.

SpoolingWOT: Can you get a picture of the light? I don't know which it is either.... although it is ringing bells I'm still not sure.

I love how you're basically telling everyone they're wrong.

There is no such thing as an "Intake light". Please explain to me how something like that would work...?

OK ok ok!

It is a coolant light! I finally figured it out! I feel real dumb  ---

I checked the coolant bottle, well, every time I bumped the intake filter, the light would go off. I have a piece of sheet metal on it to keep hot engine air out of the intake. Well, the fitting on the bottom of the bottle got jarred when I worked over the intake - go figure - and no more light.

THis is real embarrassing.........

And just think, I can work these cars over in my sleep - and I did not know that it was a coolant light...........

Anyway - car is fixed.

Sorry for the bad post.

Don't feel bad, when I was still in my first DSM I thought it was the turbo light... Looked like a fan to me... :p

Now your next battle will be BOOST CREEP! Not everyone one experiences it with the evo3 B16G but a lot of my friends and myself here had to deal with it. All of our turbos would creep to ~20psi even with 2.5" tubular O2 sensor housings. Get the supporting mods and you won't have to deal with it, I run 20+ on 91oct with WI and there's no sign of creep after 20psi.

I have the Apexi GT stainless downpipe and N1 cat-back. I also have SBR's pie-cut o2 housing. The turbo is ported with the 34mm flapper. I am not forseeing any problems with boostcreep............oh and I have Greddy's profec-b.
