how do i remove these bolts PICS*

ok i am rebuilding my engine myself and i have no idea how to remove the nuts for the bolts on my head. there like stars or something. what special socket do i need to take them off?

16 sided socket. 14mm I think off the top of my head (no pun intended). Make sure it's a pretty deep socket to clear the threaded stud sticking through the nut.

if thats an ARP nut, its a 12 point 14mm deep socket

Sorry I mean 12 point as well not 16.

I have ARPs. His stud does not look like and ARP stud though because theres no recess for an alan key in the top of it.
