i put everything in my motor right and i started yes it started i let it sit for like 30 minutes... and then when i drove it and i was driving it kept bogging when i reach 3 thousand rpm its like anytime i go up to 3 rpm it bogs anyone know why?maybe its the ecu u or something im using my old ecu for my 91 gst front wheel drive but its a jdm motor now....

what new parts did you install with this mtor?

I"m specifically interested in knowing about new thermostat and water pump.

Check your belts, make sure they're not slipping, if possible, let the car cool and then run it with no cap to make sure there is circulation w the coolant.

I'm not sure about the bogging, but I'd check for intake leaks. make sure all the hoses are very tight, and positioned and sealed properly.

Hey Signtist yea the thermostat is fine now....but the car still boggs when i hit 3000 rpm/2500 can it be because im using a different ecu because i did a motor swap i put in a jdm motor into my 1g gst .... the jdm ecu dosent fit tho so if anyone knoes why....

check for boost leaks and unplugged connectors. and have you changed the plugs or are they ones that were in the motor when you got it? have you added fresh gas if the car has been sitting for a while? answer these ?'s and we might be able to help you a little more
