Hello,

First post, I'll sound real stupid asking this.

I'm trying to pull the plug wire off of the spark plug. The boot doesn't want to exit the hole, and when I did remove it, a hard plastic black piece was still attached to the plug.

This car (1G non turbo) has sat for a few years.

Is there any trick to this? Or just pull harder? Seems like I'll break something here.

In other news, cams don't turn when crank turns  , and nothing seems to be hitting the pistons.

Bent valves, I'm thinking. Pulling the head to find out.

Nice forum here.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Ken

What i would do is take a pair of pliers and grab the fat part of the boot just above the hole and twist it a couple of times, that should break it loose. You can use your hand to, sometime they wont turn. Or pull and twist at the same time, works better than pulling, especially on old wires they will just seperate like you discribed.
