so what do you say about the rings
Boarder line reults, 30 psi is the limit so I would say it's questionable at best. The only way to find out for sure is a leakdown or to inspect the top of the piston when the head comes off. When are you smoking any way? Idle,taking off, boosting.......etc? I still would not rule out the valve seals. Have you check the pcv valve yet?

wouldnt you say that is really low for a rebuilt engine.if its that low here is some thing wrong in there with the ring. can i go under and pull the pistons instead of pullin the motor out

it smokes at taking off and boosting. i just got new valve seals put on matbe ill drop the exshaust and look

How many miles on the rebuilt? It does take sometime for rings to seat properly.

You're asking a person on the computer to make a decision for you that can end up costing close to $1000 worth of repairs. Although I suspect so, I strongly suggest that you follow my suggestion post earlier before you conclude. Good luck.
