I want to get some lowering spring but I want to avoid that annoying bouncing you get when you install them. My friend has some eibach lowering springs on his 3g Eclipse and it's bouncy as fuck.

So.....the question is: Are there any lowering springs out there that won't cause the car to bounce? Or do I have to get shocks and the whole suspension setup in order for the car not to bounce?
Also, would coilovers on springs prevent bouncing?

buy shocks with lowering springs, if you can afford coilover then get them.

EDIT: If the coilovers your talking about are just the springs that are on ebay, then dont waste your money.

Yeah, I know the feeling -- a girl I know dropped her car with some lowering springs and that thing bounces a lot more than usual. But yeah, I'd recommend some good coilovers. Check out the springs when you buy them (when buying them online, contact the seller and ask questions). You don't want them too soft or hard -- you want to be able to bounce some, but not too much.

Rarely is the bouncy ride of a 2G on lowering springs caused by the springs overpowering the shocks. The rates of most lowering springs are not much higher than stock. Instead, the bounciness is almost always caused by the car slamming the front bumpstops.

I don't know but some companies claim that their spring won't cause any bouncing. Is this true, are some sorts of springs better than others? I don't really want to spend $300+ on shocks. I'd just like for me car to be lowered without bouncing.

Then just get a set of Eibach Prokit springs. They're slightly stiffer than stock and won't lower the car onto the bumpstops. You'll get better handling and still have enough suspension travel to handle bumps, even with stock shocks.

I have them on my 1G FWD, and I used to have them on my 1G AWD. They're nice on both cars. I don't know much about the 3G, but search for '2G prokit' and see what pops up.

I have pro kit and agx in my 1g and it is quite bouncy, still new setup maybe i should change the settings what is yours at green? my front struts have the sticker gone, so which way to make them not so stiff backs are on 4 i believe

A lot of people don't follow the directions when it says to cut the bump stops on the stock assembly. When you lower the car you shorten the distance of travel to the bump stop. Also a weak or worn shock could cause the same type of problem.

best of luck to you.
