Question on Sub boxes with the sub built in

Hi, i noticed some stores selling complete set up's with a box, with the subs included...some even have lights around the subs.

My question is, will these still work as good as good as say, where the sub(s) is installed in the "floor" of the trunk?

If i got one of these, i would just set the whole box with the subs in the trunk right? hooked to a amplifier of some sort...would this still supply good deep bass?

not into the metal part...nevermind i ever said that..

i mean where a box is built in the trunk with the subs built in...u know....taking up the entire trunk area.

are there any good sub box "packages" that are $250 or under that include the amplifier? say with 2 10"ers or 2 12"ers...

no. you get what you pay for. a decent amp will start at about 250-300 bucks and go up from there. if you're paying less than that for the amp, you are either seriously giving up a ton of power, or getting power with tons of distortion.

im not looking for a extremely loud deep sound, i dont really require anything really high tech, i just want a generally louder bass sound than is supplied with the speakers already installed in the car (dash,door,and back seat speakers.)

all that i am really looking for is a medium amount more of "umph" than the factory speakers....i dont need anything that shakes the bolts out of my car and causes things to come loose.... :)

i just want enough that you know a extra sub is there, but not enough to shake the car apart, you know what i mean?
