95 awd tsi vs. 03 merc maruader

so i got my talon and as soon as i bring it home my old man starts ragging on my lil 4 banger as he calls it. and i talk a lil trash back at him, ending in a manditory father son race. we get on the highway and we agree to go off of a 60 mph roll. we hit 60 staying next to each other and he nods to me and i just point ahead and were off. he pulls me by about a hood or so to 8o - 85 and then i start gaining what i lost by 110 i have him door to door and at 117 his goviner kicks in and i pull the piss out of him till i get to 140 and get off at the next ramp. hes all pissed and decides we need to go light to light.

dig 1 he spins like hell i launch like a bat out of hell and not only own him to the next light but he gets caught by the light and i beat him back to the house.

he wont even look at my car without getting pissed

haha great! the older crowd and most of the guys at work are like that, they think that a 4 banger cnat do anything.

what are your mods to your car? those maruaders are decent cars

lol I wish my dad was like that. He gets pissed at me cause I plan on modding it and would kill me if he found out I have a heavy foot.

Maruader is sweet sweet car ! I belive they have a cobra motor..any way good race.

Where the hell were you racing to get it up to 140? With your mods that must have taken at least a full minute.

i think the marauder's have the mach 1 motor. but it could be the cobra motor, but i could swear i saw mach 1 when i was lookin them up a long time ago. oh well either way it got stomped by a dsm

it's a 32v v8, so it could be either the 99-01 cobra motor or the mach1 motor.

the mach1 actaully shares the same heads and what not with the 03 cobra.

I though it went like this:

GT= 2v per cyl
Mach 1 = 3v per cyl
Cobra = 4v per cyl

Idk, nice kill anyway...those marauders can move for what they are

It just has a mach 1 engine. No forged pistons/rods like the cobra, and no blower. Also only comes in slushbox.

from what ive heard *one of my buddies is a ford kid and my other friend works at the ford dealership* the mach 1 has the old cobra engine. the 98 bodystyle cars. and the marauder has a cobra engine too along with the markV. i think they might be a lil detuned though. marauder is rated at 15 seconds flat.

Mabye its the V8 comin out in me. But I say throw in some afc, 720's and 150 Shot and tear your dads cobra a new ass to 100 or so

I have a good friend of mine that has an 04' Cobra with an ass load of mods. 517 RWHP on a ported stock blower. I have driven it a few times and I have to say, Its a damn beast.
