I am trying to help my boost creep due to the fact that i have a 3in dp. I know i need to port the stock o2 and Exhaust manifold, but wouldnt a evo 02 and Manifold be bigger than stock ported 1g and save alot of time. Let me know what rout i should go.

Sure it would save a lot of time. Get them ported if you have the cash. You should also make sure the turbine housing is ported around the wastegate inlet and outlet.

can u show a pic of the turbine housing area on the wastegate inlet. sorry im kind of new to this and u didnt really answer my ?. what is better porting stock 02 and manifold or evo 02 and manifold?

Oh whoops :) I guess I worded that badly. What I meant was you should get the EVO mani and O2 housing, plus get them ported, too. There's a good writeup that shows how to port all these parts at www.VFAQ.com you might want to bookmark that site, it has tons of great info. I'll look up the porting VFAQ and post the link.

the porting looks complicated so i would rather just pay someone to do it. plus i dont have access to the tools to do it. I dont see why you would want to port the stock turbo, i would rather buy a evo 3 16g.

Both the 2g manifold and o2 housings are larger than the 1g. They did this so they could run a smaller turbo for quicker response and keep some power because people complained about the drivability in the city with the larger 1g turbo (took too long to spool up and get full power) The smaller turbo spools quicker and gives the power earlier in the rpm band, you dont get as much but it was more drivable in the city to please the masses. So when I did my turbocharging I used a 1g turbo with the 2g manifold and o2 housing. I also ported them all out. You could probably buy the 2g mani and 02 cheaper than the evo parts. Also the reason people port is because its cheap and easy if you allready have a shop and all the tools. I run 18 psi and havent had any issues and it spools reletively quickly compared to stock piping.

so what i should do is just buy the 2g parts and not worry about porting 2g because it is big enough for 1g turbo or should i try to buy them allready ported or do it myself. Also why wouldnt i just go with a evo3 o2 housing being i can get one for 104 dollars and dsmparts. Can anyone tell me if it will bolt right up with my apex 3in dp.

It all depends on how much you plan on flowing and the tune of your engine. I did the 2gen parts with the porting and found it works out very well. I dont know enough about the evo parts to give you a definate on them, I believe they're larger. Maybe someone else here has more info on them for you.

my goal is a 12 sec car on the street

People have run 12 on stock 14b turbo, mani, and o2 with a lot of mods and tuning. Check out the timeslips forums itll amaze ya.

That is the beauty of starting out with parts that are larger....you can still port them for even more flow. I would say just pick up a 2G o2 housing and port it correctly following the instructions and pictures in the vfaq and go from there. Good portwork on a 2G O2 housing should get you solid boost control.
