i buy stuff from them pretty often, mostly little things here and there. bought a fidanza flywheel. their kevlar timing belt kit. one of their SBR-G50 turbo when they 1st came out. been hearing alot of people having probelms with them but i never did. not until recently when i ordered the timing belt kit, sbi bronze valve guides and their SS braided oil drain kit. i ordered this:

paid 100.00 for it but instead i ended up paying 100.00 for one of these

i emailed them back telling them i didnt get the oil drain kit but then they tell me it was in the box :confused: . i didnt see it, so just to be sure i looked in the box again, unwraveled all the packaging. but no fittings, no lines or other flange. emailed them again, then they basically call me a liar. and all my emails were done as polite as i can be cause i just want what i paid for. so now since they're just gonna rip me off and know i cant do anything about it emailed them again asking them to at least give me my money back. but now im gettin no response from them. they got my money so they're happy. i thought about goin to see if i can sue them or anything, but being in the military i wont have much time. might seem a little extreme for an oil drain kit but i worked hard for that 100.00. i just dont know what to do now. just like people here to know.

Did you pay with a credit card?

If you did, file a comlaint with your CC company online or over the phone and let them take care of it. They are the best at getting your money back. This shit has happened with me twice with other vendors and I got my money back within a day or two. :D

If you sent payment through paypal, well then ki$$ your money good bye :mad:

Maybe its just a misunderstanding. I would hope that a vendor wouldn't bitch over $20 in parts and not just send you a new set, because that's about how much all those parts would cost all together.
 
I have had shipment problems with SBR on two different orders, but once I caught the problem I called them and they sent out the missing contents. One time it was a throwout bearing from a clutch kit I bought from them, and the other time it was a SS Clutch line.
 
It's always a gamble with SBR. Some people call and get a friendly employee on the phone, and there aren't problems. Other times, the consumer is accused of being a liar (or worse) and SBR gets a bad review.

Spock, I really hope you don't get burned on these parts.

if you still have box they sent it in make shure you keep it it should show on the box how much everything in it weigh and im shure that one fitting is less then how much athe oil retun line and fitting weigh dont know if that will help in when your talking to them about the problem or not
 
Sorry about what happened. Now there is enough reading material floating around to publish a book How I got screwed by SBR.

I think it would be better if you could paste the actual email response from SBR than saying "basically called me a liar". Let all know what actually was said to and from and let the people decide. I wish for those who have affiliated themselves to SBR and SBR's crew not to chime in.

Unfortunately this does not help. Mike Humul is very unprofessional and is only kind and polite until you have paid him. You can be as accommodating to the situation as humanly possibly as a screwed over customer can be. Now to add insult to injury SlowBoI racing is now fucking over our patriots who make almost no money defending our country.

I have seen members get banned for derogatory comments against board members here. At what point does a company with a long history of hurting customers have their advertisement privileges revoked? The DSM community prides itself in a family like atmosphere among enthusiasts.

I just don't get how these guys are allowed to continue to advertise and rape the hard working people of the dsm community peddling their crap. This forum is held to a higher standard than other dsm boards. SlowboI has the absolute highest level of customer complaints of almost any tuner shop in existence.

Yet they can continue to advertise no matter how cleverly they try to disguise it they do. Its their primary purpose for posting here. The thread about their outlaw car over in the lounge is nothing more than a marketing tool.

We ship out close to 300 boxes a week. Are mistakes going to be made? Yes. Do we get the 298 customers who got their shipments mistake free posting? Hardly ever. I understand where Dr. Spock is coming from and I apologize for this mistake. Call and talk to me and I will resolve this matter in the quickest manner. As far as the previous post. We have employees in the god damn military so you can take your government card you pulled and shove it. This has nothing to do with the situation at hand.

Who cares? No customer has a problem with mistakes its the slowboI racing fuck you attitude that everyone has an issue with. current past and future customers alike.

The mind numbing arrogance of this company is shocking. You are the only vender in the dsm community with this type of overwhelming negative feedback. Are you that arrogant that you feel you are the only company to ship 300 boxes a week. 300 boxes a week is such a small number its laughable.

Locking this until I can go back and we'd it out until it resembles a Vendor Review again. Really looking back this is more a customer service issue....again than it is a review.


For the record SBR does not advertise here and when a vendor, any vendor outsteps the rules they are dealt with.
 
Just to state for the record, he never called, he only emailed, and I asked him to verify the contents, which he then came back and said he did in deed have the one flange...it wasn't calling him a liar, I was asking him to verify he didn't miss it in packaging because quiet often this happens, which took a day because it was over email, not over the phone.

I have left this customer a voice mail attempting to resolve the issues at hand, there isn't a need to continue with this.
