well right now i have a 1993 ford probe not hte best car but i love it... well its starting to get a lil tired adn i found a 95 eclipse rs... well i posted a thred on probe tlak and every one was telling me im getting my self in to deep.. that ther a wast of money and every thing.. well right now the car im looking at needs the spedo to work and the hord does not work eather. any help is alot of help to me right now

In my opinions the 420a Eclipses are probably more reliable than the second gen GS-T/X because they arent prone to crankwalk and dont seem to have any maojor mechanical problems. But listen to me from experience..in a few months(weeks :) ) you'll be wishing you had a turbo like me and will end up trying to sell your car

Learn from my experience...

I had a 1990 3.0 V6 Ford Probe... now I own a 1998 GS-T and it feels like paradise. Not only probe parts are expensive but VERY HARD TO FIND. Also they are a pain in the ass when it comes to modify them.

So, learn from me and GET A FRICKING GST or GSX...

You still there???

for around that price range you accually might be able to find a 1st gen, may not be in very great body shape, but the engine should still be good, and it would be turbod, id say your best bet is a laser, for some reason i see lasers cheaper then anything unless they are AWD turbo, i think i've only seen 1 AWD turbo lazer. I got my car for $900, but that was from my brother, and i was just offered $5500 from my buddys dad, he wants to drag it but i turned him down cus i LOVE that car, even tho all i have is a Joe P MBC, 3" Turbo back exhaust with elimanted cat, boost set to 16PSI.

Dude, you're teetering on the edge of disaster running 16psi on a stock fuel system. :eek:

i think the anal probe guys are just a little jealous, a dsm is a way more reliable car than a ford probe and it looks alot better, better motor and more aftermarket options.
