id run a quality bar and plate front mount...actually I was running a greddy fmic on my b16g....just make sure you check the pressure drop and the cfm rating for the ic...

Repeatability will go up as well. Sidemounts won't take the back to back punishment that a fmic will.

I would go fmic over a name brand sidemount. In a perfect situation I would buy neither until I could afford a good fmic.

I mean crap, an intercooler is an intercooler for the most part. Aluminum with fins and that's it. I used to spend lots of dough on the before the ebay fmic's got popular and I should have been buying them the whole time. With parts with not alot of heat or area of mechanical failure, more expensive doesnt necessarily mean better.

I would go with a SBR FMIC Street set up. That's what I'm getting next week!! Here is a link for you. I would run a FMIC over a name brand SMIC. I've got the stocker yet and I can't stand it, Plus who does not like a car with "braces"????

Good luck with your selection.

I put down 443awhp on my Street imports Ebay intercooler. They cost all of 200 dollars now shipped on ebay. I had absolutely zero knock logged on my 7bolt with factory everything minus ARP's. 1g head swap but all factory otherwise. Definately go with the FMIC route.

stay aaway from the johnny racecar IC's
Why? They are cheap but shit there's not much to them. I have had lots of success with them on my 240, g20, gvr4, and 850.

Put down over 300 on all the cars with no soaking.

Now if the fins break in cold weather or something thats different but I live in Atlanta.
