Ok porting out the 2g manifold and had a question about the center divider. On the vfaq site they show it completely removed, but I did some searching and some members on here are saying to just grind it to a point, like a circus tent. I thought about it and while that makes sense to "direct" the airflow to the turbo, it also makes sense to just remove it since its technically an obstruction in the flow of exhaust gases....

I did the tent style. Some high performance headers have a cone in the collector.

I also knifededged mine to help direct each port into the turbo instead of having all the exhaust surges crashing into eachother and tumbling in the middle. I also removed that metal gasket ring and opened up both the turbo and the mani so I ended up gaining like .250 or something on that diameter right there. When I was done the ports in 2g mani looked huge.

I say remove it completely it is a huge loss of flow. i even tested it, i ported my mani to 7cm with the divider and then removed it completely and it actually made the car spool a little faster and have more top end.
