Hey guys, as some know when I was doing all my timing belts and gaskets last week, we turned the key and we timed it wrong and 6 valves got bent
After it F*cked up...I was PISSED

I sent the head to a guy here who rebuilds them and i svery good I heard...Total bill was 525$ with 6 new valves, seals, and crank seals, and polished :)

...Frick I just realized I forgot to take pics of the rebuilt head , It was really well done though :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Car was stores out on the parking lot at my work for a week...It hurt everytime I looked at her :(

I finally found the right plugs too! (searched everywhere)...Gapped .8

I did all my free mods too in this process, Hacked the air can, Cleaned intercooler (man it was dirty), removed lower honey comb :) . I also found my oil leak...Turbo Oil return line..Is there a way to fix, or buy a new one  , its missing a nut and leaking like a MOFO.

Going back together...(below)

All things that were done to the car in the past 2 weeks (all maitanance  )
Timing belt, Balance shaft belt, Tensioners, Free mods, Headgasket (X2), Thermostat gasket, ex hani gasket, Intake mani gasket, 5w-30 mobil 1, new alt belts, power steering, AC, Oil cap, NGK BPR7ES plugs and ordered NGK wires, Valve cover gasket, Bautenheimer rebuilt head, 6 new valves, all over valves grinded and polished, crank seaks, valve seals and polished.

Cost me a total of a little over $1,000 by the time it was all said and done
Timing parts...close to 500$
I paid half of the rebuilt head (Timing wasnt my fault, I didnt touch it)- 260$
Labour to my mechanic buddy doing the timing part-60 bucks (cause he blew my head
Plugs, fluids, and all other crap was around $250
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah it was alot of cash but she started up and I was happier than ever :)

Then took her out for a highway rip

Cleaner her all up, and called maitanance good for a while (hope nothing breaks!!)

The Talon is Running AWESOME!!!!!!!!!, better than ever. I think my boost guage is broke though  , Its reading only 8psi, and it is hauling way more ass than when it was around 14psi!!!  . Everything is 100% awesome, except for a squeeky belt!!!! .

Thanks to everyone here for all the tips and helping me out through a week of hell when she blew up and was down.

Good to be back :)

P.S...My N1 Turboback is officially going in this saturday, Cant wait to get more mods, Maitanance part on a DSM is done for a while anyway! :)

I know you meant 0.8 mm = 0.0315" but its common practice to give spark plug gaps in inches. I just wanted to clarify this before someone read 0.8 and flamed you (all to common on this site).

Good job with the car.

The oil return line for the turbo requires bolts not nuts. Buy a new gasket and clean the surface very well before installing the new gasket and bolt.

Use RTV orange/copper or grey on the pan and the oil drainback for the turbo. Seals much better than the gasket.
That's what I did. Dry as a bone since then.

Glad to hear you got it going again. Peace of mind comes with changing all those goodies too doesn't it? ;)

Thanks guys :) , I will get the oil return fixed ASAP! :)

BTW what kind of power increase am I looking at for the N1 turboback on a mostly stock $G63...20ish

Full exhaust with no cat will net you an easy 25hp if not more. I do hope you have an aftermarket boost gauge and aren't relying on the factory POS. Get rid of those huge foglights and let some air into that pewny IC of yours. :D Better yet, do that and get yourself a Supra IC. I just saw one for sale on E-bay a few days ago for $150.

Yep I have an Autometer guage. I am looking into a FMIC when I get my 50trim or Evo 3...so upgrading right now is pointless :) , But thanks!
