A couple weeks ago my 91 talon broke down. When pulling out of the garage, there was a banging noise that eventually stopped after idling for a little bit. Shortly afterwards (about a mile away), the car completely broke down and would not start up again. The battery and starter are fine...the engine just will not catch. We had some somewhat similar problems (see http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1295713#post1295713), but it would always start up soon after dieing. We think that the timing belt might have broken (even though we just replaced it a year or so ago). Any thoughts?

yeah man the easy way to answer that question is to just take the timing belt cover off and take a look..if it broke then you have to rebuild that head..if not then your gonna have to give us some more info as to what happened exactly..
