ive been driving the talon lately and have been getting an awful lot of road noise coming from the right side of the car. the thing is when i turn to the right, it completely goes away. i took it into my highschool auto shop and my teacher said to replace the outer-tierod end. i did that but the sound has not gone away. the noise starts when i get to about 15-20 mph, and gets louder as i go faster. besides taking all right turns, what should i do? is it as simple as an alignment or am i looking at replacing some suspension?

i know i posted this a while ago but i got the talon fixed. sure enough is was the wheel hub. i bought a new one for about 100 at oreilly's and replaced it last week. the job ended up having to take about 4 hours. i did it at school where i would have all of the tools needed. i had to take the control arm off because the tool thats supposed to separate the hub from the rotor wouldnt work because there were no screws in the hub. i test drove it and it drives like a dream. :D

i've hear people talking about these "wheel bearings"....where are these located?? What do they do??

They are what the wheel is actually bolted too. If you take off the wheel, youll see a piece bolted into the knuckle that actually has the wheel studs. That is the hub assembly, the wheel bearing is inside. However I find it way easier (and not much more money) to just replace the whole assembly instead of dicking with pressing out the bearings and such.
