First of all I drive a 1991 eclipse GSX with JDM G-VR4 (not the 16G) swap and 3" intake pipe K&N, removed silencer and bottom honey comb on MAF. My Brother drives a 1991 civic hatchback with JDM B18C swap 2.5" exhaust, Skunk2 Intake Manifold, intake pipe with K&N, and ACT six puck clutch without springs (I know too much clutch for the car but he already had it and his old clutch was slipping.)
Well today he asked me if I wanted to run to try out his launch with his new clutch so I agreed. First we line up and raced from a stop. He did a small burnout to warm his tires. Then I set my RPM at around 4800 and wait for him to get ready since we had no flagger I honked three times. I start slipping my clutch and after the third honk I instantly put about 2 1/2 cars on him. I shift to second at 7K RPM and keep on pulling I look back and I just saw my brothers car smoking the tires in second gear. I shift to third and I see his car start to catch up quick but it was too late. I put about 3 1/2 cars on him when we cross the finish line. I was surprised that I beat him because I had raced before from a roll and he gave me an asswooping and he was letting off the gas.
I know his car is alot faster than mine if he could get traction. After the race we watched the video and his car didn't even look like he was racing it looked more like if he was doing a burnout. He spun the tires until about third gear thats when the car started to move. I'll try to post the video later and I'll race him again when he gets some drag radials.
