the people that started to bash me are so gay, it doesn't matter what I have listed on my car that makes me know what I know. someone who is rich could throw everything on there cars and still not have a fucking clue what they are talking about. I have been around dsm's and people who know a shit load about dsm's for a very long time, I just choose not to mod my car out that much because to me its a waste of money. all I did was say that you were forgetting supporting mods and everyone makes an ass out of themselves by crying over nothing. 97spyda, you didn't really expain to me bofore that you already had all those parts and were planning on putting them on, thats why I said what I said, no hard feelings

I'm interested in your thread.

I have a 99 spyder manual with similar mods.

I'm running a big killer t-28

How are you finding traction?

I'm popping in a LSD insert from SBR.

Just to reiterate (sorry if I missed this), but you're still running the stock catback and stock smic, correct?

its all in how i press the gas peddle :D if i floor it, yeah traction becomes a serious problem! so i just kinda ease down on it until the car starts to move out then i go full thottle! it takes some practice to master it! i have also accepted the fact that my car is an interstate killer

shame on me ;) but i am still running the stock catback, stock uicp, stock side mount! i recently turned my auto tranny cooler into my oil cooler! i read so much about how it might not hold pressure or that it might not flow enough for the engine! so i decided to take the tranny cooler off and put on a 1990 external oil , but there was a problem i had no where to mount the thing, also when i compared the two i knoticed that the 1990 oil cooler and my 97 auto tranny cooler was identicle except for where the lines enter the coolers! so my theory is that since they are identicle then they should flow the same so i put the auto tranny cooler back on! wow cooler oil=IMO less detonation :p this could also have helped contribute to the increase in hp but i don't know it to be a fact! stay tuned i will dyno in a couple of weeks with the dsm link and exhaust! the car still is not tuned  on the first dyno run the cooler was not hooked up!

You REALLY need UICP and a good BOV.

Tell us how much you gain from those 2 mods.

The UICP was one of the simplest, most favourite mods I've done. It also sounds amazing with the metal pipes

I'm knew to this forum, but not knew the to adding ups to a car.
Reading back a little on these post, it seems to me that this man has provin
that there just isn't a special way to improve the power or performance of ones rides. Reading the post that this man has writtin, also tells me that he does know what he is talkin about.. I have and still know many that have started out with cams and then openning up the flow. Nothing wrong with that. Some just like to feel the added power first and you just can't feel much added power by openning up the flow first.
So,, I say, job well done man.
Now, lets start to open her up so she can breath and get the full benefit of those cams that you started out with. Prove once again, that you can start from the front or the back and still come out with the same numbers. :)

very well spoken!!!

Supporting mods come before the big final mod...

Example: exhaust, fmic, bov, fuel system, fuel management system, and then big turbo.

Ok the numbers youve got a are awesome man first and formost. BUT you dont need to be cusing people for going by the book. people have been making power with the 4g63 engine for a long time so do you really think that the tride and true method would not yeild more power? I mean seariously do you think shep put his BA turbo on then decided he needed a fuel pump and exhaust? You may know what your talking about to some exstent, and i dont doubt that. But sometimes you need to relize that others can be right to, and just because someone doesnt agree with your steps in the modding process does not give you the right to tell them to shut the &%^&* up.

Just my opinon on the way ive seen you reacte to a few of the guys who have been on this board for a while now. Anyways though congrats on the numbers, always wondered what cams would do to a almost stock setup. Now get the exhaust and all the supporting mods on and let us know what it makes. What are you running for fuel. I saw a 190 pump in here somewhere but please tell me you atleast have some 550 injectors or bigger.
Thanks
Dustin
